Legionella Control Association

The LCA was founded in 1999 by the British Association of Chemical Specialities (BACS) and the Water Management Society (WMSoc), and recommends a Code of Conduct to service providers involved in controlling the risk of legionella bacteria in water systems.

Waterwide have been members of the LCA since 2002.  We are audited by the LCA every year to ensure that we are meeting the requirements of both their Code of Conduct and Standards for Service Delivery in the 7 categories for which we are registered, we also carry out our own internal audit on an annual basis.  On 1st July every year we are required to re-register for our membership.  This involves submitting our internal audit and evidence to prove that we are carrying out legionella control activities in accordance with our own management system procedures, our Statement of Compliance to the Code of Conduct, and the Code of Conduct itself, along with the Standards for Service Delivery.
